| Welcome MPSJ Alumni! To commemorate the 50th anniversary, 1957-2007, of Bishop Michael Power High School, this site was created as a gift from Power50, the Trojan Force behind the celebrations. September 15, 1957 Official Opening & Blessing – September 15, 2007 Celebratory Mass The 50th anniversary, 1949-1999, of St. Joseph Islington High School closed off the last century. The merging of the 2 schools in 1982 means the possibility of another 50th in 2032! Thus the “Traditions” … the people who have contributed to the MPSJ community, continue… Please celebrate the past, present and future with this medium that Marshall McLuhan brought to light in the 1960’s, as a professor at St. Michael’s College (UofT). The publication – Michael Power : A biography of Toronto’s First Roman Catholic Bishop - brings another part of our history into perspective. |
